Poem: Just Smile

The time has come for us to say goodbye.

This day has been planned for a while, and now it is finally here.

I do not know if the words will come out, but I think I have something to say.

The problem is I just cannot say them.

If I do then it would mean that this is all true.

This is no longer a fantasy I have been dreaming.

This is the life that I am living.

This is all real, and I am not trying to be convince.

What is happening is something that will happen to me.

It was just your turn at bat, and for once you did not miss.

There are words that have been left unsaid.

There are questions that will never get answers.

There are memories that will last a lifetime.

At the end of the day, that is all that matters.

I will not cry tears will only make it real.

I will just smile and know that you are smiling too.

Poem: Okay

You come to me and ask what is wrong?

All I can say is I’m fine.

I smile and walk on by.

You try and speak to me, and my words stop before I can answer.

The joy that lived within me has all but vanish.

I do not know me.

I do not know the person I have become.

I just know the hurt that lives within my pain.

The pain that I refuse to say from where it came.

Deep down I want you know that this is not me.

This is the me that you have made.

The person that was created to help you heal.

Then you got well, and I feel ill.

I try to go back to one that was here before.

I think currently that is no more.

My ship has sailed, and my love has failed.

This is the new me.

The one that has no words but smile just make sure you are okay.

Poem: Place

Everyday has become the same.

There is nothing new to report.

There is nothing new to say.

I wake up and do what is need, but never what is required.

The day starts early, but it ends the same with me being alone.

I used to run home to see you, but now I no longer can.

I try run away, but my feet are planted to soil.

This is where I must belong.

I come to this place that has no soul, and no life left to live.

The streets that lead this way no longer bright up the day.

The sanctuary that we made has turn into jungle that is filled with memories.

Memories that are slowly drifting away.

The ones that made us cry.

The ones that kept us up late at night.

The tears that came from laughter to the sorrow of watching the kids slip away.

Then it became the place where you last spoke.

The last place I told you I love you.

Now it is the place where I miss you.

This was our place this was our home.

This place is no longer my home.

It is no longer our home.

This is no longer our place.

Poem: This is the end

This is the end.

There is no turning back now.

The moment you have dream for is here.

The sleepless nights that cost more than rest.

Moments of thinking is this truly you way out.

The doors are open and now you must walk.

Will the other side be as fulling as you hope?

There is no guarantee, but this is the end.

This journey has been one that is full of laughter and hurt.

The day you have waited for is here, but are you?

A question that holds all the answers but has no reply

Self-doubt is back at that door knocking to come in. but will you let it?

There is no turning back now.

This is the end.
